From Collapse to Creation: Building a Generative, Tech-Forward Business Model That Actually Works and is not Extractive and is Intersectional

Updated: Sep 9

An Interview with Rose Kaz, Founder of  Business 4 Good.

by Zhou Fang, Intersectional Group

Zhou Fang: Rose, your recent article, Extractive Capitalism is Collapsing, is a bold and needed diagnosis of the current economic model. You write that “The status quo is being held up by duct tape and denial.” What makes you confident we’re at the collapse point—and not just riding another economic cycle?

Rose Kaz: Because founders are done pretending. We’ve reached a burnout breaking point. People aren’t just tired—they’re done hustling for scraps while tech giants bank billions. The women entrepreneurs I serve, especially those from marginalized communities, are saying: There has to be a better way. And they’re right. The signals are clear—our economy is maxed out on extraction. We need business systems that sustain, not exploit. That’s why I created Business 4 Good—to offer burnout-proof systems, AI revenue strategies, and founder-focused tech solutions that don’t ask people to trade sanity for success.

Zhou Fang: Let’s talk about what’s next. You offer the generative economy as the alternative. What exactly does that mean to you?

Rose Kaz: The generative economy is rooted in human-first frameworks. It’s built around the idea that business growth can happen in alignment with our values, our energy, and our communities. At Business 4 Good, we help entrepreneurs adopt ethical AI tools, automate their workflows, and build digital systems that support revenue and rest. Generative means circular. It means systems that regenerate capacity instead of depleting it.

Zhou Fang: You’re also deeply involved in the world of AI. How do you see AI shifting the economy—and how do we ensure it doesn’t just replicate extraction at scale?

Rose Kaz: AI will either accelerate equity—or widen the gap. That’s why I’m loud about this: AI isn’t the enemy. Burnout is. At Business 4 Good, we help founders leverage AI revenue tools to streamline operations, free up time, and scale without hiring a full team. But we don’t just hand people ChatGPT and walk away—we build human-first systems around tech. We’re making sure tech works for people, especially those who've historically been left out of innovation conversations.

Zhou Fang: In your blog, you say: “This is a once-in-a-generation window to stop mimicking what we were taught and start modeling what we believe.” What helps people cross that bridge from insight to action?

Rose Kaz: Honestly? Strategy and support. So many entrepreneurs are values-aligned but systems-deprived. That’s why our services focus on tech integration, founder-aligned sales systems, and digital revenue strategy—we give people tools and transformation. We turn purpose into process. That’s how you get real results without the burnout spiral.

Zhou Fang: The fear I hear from a lot of folks is that if they stop grinding, they’ll fall behind. How do you help clients move past that?

Rose Kaz: We dismantle hustle culture in real time. For example, I’ve had clients who were stuck doing 12 client meetings a week. With automation and burnout-proof workflows, we cut that to four—and they increased revenue by 40%. The key is designing business systems that work for you, not the other way around. You can lead with values and generate real income. That’s not a pipe dream—that’s a well-structured system.

Zhou Fang: Any closing thoughts for folks who feel like they’re ready to break up with extractive business models—but unsure of where to begin?

Rose Kaz: Start by reclaiming your time. That’s the first act of rebellion. Then, look at your systems: Are they serving you—or draining you? From there, ask what tech can do ethically to help you scale. At Business 4 Good, we don’t just offer services—we co-create digital business systems that are regenerative, inclusive, and scalable. This isn’t just the future of business. It’s the future of sanity.
