Progress and Differences in Pay Transparency Legislation in the U.S.

Intersectional Group tracks the legislation for Pay Transparency in the U.S.
In 2025, we see a few new states added to the landscape, including Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, and Massachusetts. Delaware's pay transparency law will go into effect in 2027. At this moment, there are 20+ laws and policies in U.S. states and municipalities that have been passed, implemented, and will be implemented.
